SOLERA DIAMOND VALLEY | DECEMBER 2018 9
By Jill Faenza, Resident
We witnessed a truly special event on
Halloween Day with 16 costumed SDV dog
residents and their human parents entertaining us. It was clear some put
much thought and effort into their costumes. The contest was judged by
Irma Rabago and Tom Lontz, who picked the 1st, 2nd and 3rd winners
based on their costumes, presentation and trick skills. The audience chose
the actual placement of the winners.
First place winner was a poodle named Heidi, dressed as a teddy bear with mother, Karla Allen.
Heidi also placed first in the agility course. What a talented poodle! Second place winner was sheltie,
Hunter, dressed in black top hat and bow tie with father, David Johnson. Third place winner was
chihuahua, Cheech, dressed in Mexican serape and sombrero with mother, Judy Edison.
What a wonderful way to begin Halloween day!
