22 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JANUARY 2019 The roof repairs on the Lodge, Spa and RCN building have been completed. The worn roller shades in the Lodge and the Spa building were replaced in December. Black out shades were installed on the west facing doors of The Lodge. The craft room project is scheduled to start in January. The project entails installing new flooring and painting in the adjoining old computer room to match the current Arts & Crafts Room. A door will be installed between the two rooms, several new cabinets will be installed in the existing Arts & Crafts Room as well as tables and chairs in the new room. The replacement of the flooring in the fitness room (gym) in the Spa building will begin in late January, early February. The contractor is waiting for the materials to arrive. The Facilities Committee meets in the RCN building on the second Wednesday of the month at 10 am. We always welcome residents to join us and share their ideas or concerns. We currently have several positions open on the Facilities Committee for anyone interested in serving our community. We would like to wish everyone at Four Seasons a Happy New Year! ~ Bruce Lewis Facilities Committee Landscape Committee The Landscape Committee would like to wish all of our residents a Happy New Year. January is one of our coldest and sometimes wettest months, but it is often one of the nicest times to work outdoors. So rejoice that the holidays are over, dig in, and enjoy the promise of a New Year. Good days are crisp and clear, perfect for gardening. Watch for freeze warnings and be prepared to cover citrus trees and delicate plants. A little advance preparation will be worth the effort now. During these cold and wet weather times, it is good to minimize and even turn off your landscape water. Our plantings are in dormant stage and have no need of regular watering. With the addition of our new neighborhoods to the east of The Courts, your landscape committee has an even larger area to cover. You will see your landscape committee walking every Friday. We walk even on the coldest days, only rain will keep us down. Anyone interested in checking out our committee is invited to join our weekly walks. Submit a "get acquainted" committee application to join us on our walks and sit in on our meetings. Our committee meets the third Tuesday of each month in the RCN at 1 pm. All are welcome to see how we work to keep our community beautiful. ~ Mona Swinehart
