The annual members' Christmas party was enjoyed by all and some of our International Dancers contributed gifts to be shared. The party was presided by Donna Kissling, Penny Skog and Carol Hurt. The latter weeks of December 2018, were dark in order to honor our holiday season. A complete review of the "Festival of Dances 2019," to be held in May, was observed at our last meeting. Coordinators responded with timely information about the status of costumes and dances. The "Festival of Dances 2019" is being directed by Anita Lawrence, with Carol Hurt coordinating the "National Costume Parade." From their row four and five seats, they enjoyed the show immensely. The lunch of salmon, chicken, pot roast or vegetarian was delicious. The next trip to this venue will be on May 18 to see a fresh version of Menopause. The lunch will have the same entreés served before. It is a Saturday matinée performance, and tickets may be reserved now. Call 845-7199. Performing at the Christmas Tree lighting show were the Stardust Models and the Men of Style. The audience enjoyed the seven men in particular. Jack Burnham, Peter Fernandez, Al Knudson, John Oxrider, Ray Rendon, Tom Reynolds, and Steve Van Loon received many whistles and hoots. This group is preparing for the Activities Day Show in January. Tom Reynolds doubled as the Santa for the Recreation Show. Residents are always welcome to join this group. The only requirement is to have a desire to do the numbers, and a willingness to commit to practices. A good time is always a part of the experience. All classes are taught and choreographed by Evelyn Hawkins.
