| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | JANUARY 2019 | 53
Do you enjoy playing the billiard game of 8 Ball? If you do,
come join us. All Sun Lakes residents are welcome to practice
with us Mondays through Saturdays, except for Thursday which
is league play. We normally draw for partners at noon, then play
until 2 pm or so. There is no cost to join our group. However, if
you elect to join a team, there is a $15 competition fee per three-
month season. Eight teams compete every Thursday; four
teams at 9 am and the other four at 1 pm in our Main Clubhouse
Billiards Room. For a fun afternoon of friendly one-on-one
competition, come watch us play. For further information,
please contact Steve Brown, 643-9880 (stvdeb@gmail.com).
Has your team been entered for the Winter Tourament? Only
a few days remain before entries close, so better get to it! Entries
must be in by Jan. 4. Play begins the week of Jan. 14. Remember, we
play early in the day in the winter, 1, 2, and 3 pm in the afternoon.
Membership dues need to be paid again for 2019. They remain $12
pp. Additionally, every time your team signs up for a tournament each
team member owes $3 each for the team fee. Those monies come
back to the semifinalists and finalists in the form of gift certificates to
our restaurant. All teams must fill out a new entry card again. They
can be found on the top shelf of the bocce cabinet. PLEASE fill it
out in pencil! Turn monies and entry card in to 1288 Pleasant Valley.
There is a box at her door.
Congratulations to Stan and Judy

the A League in same Tournament.
Kristi Herring, Helen Belcher,
Richard and Beverly Bly were the AA League winners. Well done!
This is being written at the beginning of December. Work will be
done on Court 3 this coming weekend. By the time you read this it
will have been completed. My fingers are crossed up to my elbows!
