| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | JANUARY 2019 | 55 Men's Golf We welcome all men golfers, no matter your golfing skill level, to join our club for some great golfing experiences on the Championship Course on Wednesdays. Scheduled January golf tournament will be a Four Man Scramble (ABCD Computer Draw) on Wed., Jan. 16. The Men's Club played very well in day two of a two-day Challenge Cup golf tournament to recapture the CUP, which the Executive Men's Club has held for the past two years. Congrats to all who participated. A special recognition goes out to the Sun Lakes Men's Golf Club 2018 Championship winners: Ray Vanyo (Overall Champion); Steve Chung (Senior Club Champ); George Thiel (Super Senior Champ). A Membership Appreciation and Awards Banquet will be held on Fri., Jan. 25 in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom. For more club info, visit www.sunlakescc.com under Golf Men's Club. Executive Men's Golf Saturday Morning Golf This is a fun group of men, women, couples and singles, golfers of all levels and ages. We play every Saturday morning on the Executive Course. Players meet at the North Clubhouse at 8:30 am for a 9 am tee start. July 1 - Oct. 1, 8 am check- in 8:30 am tee off. We have tournaments for everyone, plus closest to the pin for men and women. Our tournaments are held every second Saturday with a variety of formats. Trophies at year-end to Club Champions with the best gross and net score. Quarterly luncheons/dinners and our annual meeting in November. New member forms are in the North Pro Shop. Annual membership is $15. The emphasis of this club is golf, and having fun playing it! Come join us. Info., Mary Backer, 845- 5131. Join us for a good time of golfing and friendship. Couples Golf Executive Men's Golf Club meets every Friday at the North Clubhouse at 8:30 am for a 9 am shotgun start. Tournaments are held on the third Friday of the month followed by a catered lunch at the North Clubhouse. We have three holes with closest to the pin to win money. Our next tournament is Fri., Jan. 18, a Two Man Scramble. Remember to sign up by Tues., Jan. 15, 12 noon. The EMGC is open to all male residents of Sun Lakes. Come join us!
