YOU ARE INVITED TO JOIN US! Do you like to sing? Sun Lakes has its own Barbershop Chorus that meets every Wednesday morning in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room from 9 to 11 am. The sheet music and audio learning materials are furnished to help even the novice enjoy the experience. You can sing in this men's chorus or enjoy a quartet experience with three other guys. We all have a song in our heart waiting to come out. So visit us and sing along! Enjoy a coffee and donut at the break. For more information and a personal invitation contact Jim Langford at 769-6065. 22 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | FEBRUARY 2019 | This group is designed to provide emotional support to any resident mourning the death of a spouse, relationship, child, parent, or beloved pet. We gather together as "hearts with ears" in absolute confidentiality in a safe shared place where strangers may become friends. Each of us is unique; our grief cannot be identical to any other, and the way to get to the other side of your grief is to "go through." We cannot criticize or judge. We meet on Sunday afternoons from 1:30 to 3:30 pm in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room. For more information, you may call Barbara Searcy at 663-3382. Bereavement Group Barbershop Chorus A number of our members have now had some good experiences with doing research on their family history. Several have had their DNA scientific research completed and would like to share the results with the club members. This year the club has some interesting programs that will be presented on the fourth Wednesday of each month at 1 pm in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room. All are welcome so please come on by and join us. Next year 2020 will be the 400th Celebration year of the Mayflower landing. The Mayflower organizations throughout America are reaching our to all genealogy clubs for help in planning this celebration. If you have been told that your family has ancestors from that period and you want some help researching their documents, let us help you with this endeavor. One of our families in our Sun Lakes club has completed their documentation and now are members of the Mayflower group. We're very proud of their membership. For more information, call (951) 769-4454. Genealogical Society
