We meet Saturdays, 1 - 5 pm, and the 1st, 3rd and 4th Monday, 6 - 9 pm. Bring your Chess set and clocks, if you have them, so we will not run short. For players new to chess, we recommend learning the fundamentals of the game before engaging in play with others. There are excellent tutorials on YouTube which will give you the needed skills to begin playing. Consider watching "Learn to Play Chess in 12 Minutes - The Basics (part 1)" on YouTube. LADIES' MARATHON BRIDGE TOURNAMENT The 2019 Ladies' Marathon Bridge Tournament is getting ready to launch our new year. All Sun Lakes women bridge players are invited to join. The tournament consists of two or more groups of from six to 10 pairs (teams) of players. You keep the same partner throughout the year. Each team plays every other team within their group– round robin – for prizes awarded at a luncheon in November. Games are scheduled and played in participants homes at a time and date selected by those players. If you have a partner in mind you may join and play together. If you do not have a partner we will try to find one for you. Come join us for a year of fun and friendship topped off by lunch and celebration in November! It is not necessary to have a partner or to sign up in advance. Info., Lynn at 769-1868. DUPLICATE FOR FUN The Sun Lakes Duplicate Bridge Club meets on Tuesdays at 6 pm in the North Clubhouse. The game does not earn Master Points, but it allows players to enjoy the experience of duplicate bridge without the competitive stress that sometimes occurs in sanctioned games.
