| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | FEBRUARY 2019 | 51 Men's Golf We welcome men golf enthusiasts to join us for some great golfing experiences on the Championship Course on Wednesdays. Scheduled this month is the February Quarterly Tournament (Individual Stroke) and the first leg of the Eclectic, for those who which to participate, on Wed., Feb. 6. The Sun Lakes Men's Golf Club (SLMGC) quarterly meeting will also be held on this date at 1:30 pm in the North Club House. Any SLMGC member is welcome to attend the meeting even though you have not ordered lunch! We continue to encourage members from last year to renew their memberships. Dues are $70 ($34 goes towards Men's Club dues and $36 pays for maintaining your S.C.G.A. / Ghin handicap). Sun Lakers who no longer play golf on the Championship Course or no longer desire having a Ghin handicap are encouraged to subscribe to our social membership for $34. This entitles you to participate in our quarterly luncheons, meetings, receive our Breeze newsletters and join us for our gatherings on the veranda and year end awards dinner. Executive Men's Golf Saturday Morning Golf This is a fun group of men, women, couples and singles, golfers of all levels and ages. We play every Saturday morning on the Executive Course. Players meet at the North Clubhouse at 8:30 am for a 9 am tee start. July 1 - Oct. 1, 8 am check-in 8:30 am tee off. We have tournaments for everyone, plus closest to the pin for men and women. Our tournaments are held every second Saturday with a variety of formats. Trophies at year-end to Club Champions with the best gross and net score. Quarterly luncheons/dinners and our annual meeting in November. New member forms are in the North Pro Shop. Annual membership is $15. The emphasis of this club is golf, and having fun playing it! Registration forms can be found in the Pro-Shop. Join us for a good time of golfing and friendship. Couples Golf The Executive is an 18 hole course with four challenging par fours and lots of water. We have a tournament on the third Friday of the month followed by catered lunch in the North Clubhouse. The tournament for Fri., Feb. 15 is Individual Stroke.
