Other highlights in the 2019 activities calendar include tournaments for Women's, Men's and Mixed Doubles, Mixer- Dinners, and many other tennis/social events. When she would visit her brother and sister-in-law, who live in Sun Lakes, they frequently played golf. She loved the courses and thought everything was so beautiful, clean, and such a great place to walk her dog. It was her dream to someday buy a home on the golf course, retire, and take advantage of all the amenities Sun Lakes offers. Her dream came true in July 2013 when she bought her home, retired as a senior trust officer, packed up her belongings and her beloved dog Bentley and moved to Sun Lakes. Retired now and with the time to explore other activities, she wanted to try other sports besides golf. The first new sport she tried was POP because she wanted to see firsthand what all the fun was about. She came to the courts, was loaned a paddle, gave it a try, loved the game and the people, and has not stopped playing since that day. Then, a little while later, she wanted to take up tennis. Involved with both sports now, she believes that the POP net play has greatly improved her tennis game. The two sports are totally compatible and an easy transition between the two. Tennis or POP, she has lots of fun playing either and loves both games. Come meet Linda. You can easily find her. She'll either be on the tennis courts, the POP courts, or playing golf. She's the pretty blonde with the dazzling smile. Thanks Linda for supporting the POP Club, and we are so glad you're having so much fun. Need more information? Check out the bulletin board at the courts or call Suzanne at (951) 205.9588 or Jeanne at (951) 845.8817. | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | FEBRUARY 2019 | 55
