Papercrafting Club
After an exciting Do Dues Day, the Papercrafting Club is now 62
strong and growing.
In addition to four regular Card Making classes each week, we will
have a 10-week introduction to card making session taught by the
club's Founder, Barb Roe.
Each week the new members will leave class with a completed
card. Barb teaches fun easy ways to create cards using Washi Tape,
punches, masking tape, paint chips, and punches. They will also
learn easy cutting techniques and how to create simple colorful
backgrounds with stamps and inks droplets.
Barb began her card making career as a demonstrator for a craft
company and then taught in craft stores. She donates many of her
creations to charity and groups such as "Operation Write Home."
Barb says, "Teaching others how to make cards is what makes me
happy!"
Thinking Outside the Envelope (TOTE) is another fun aspect of
the Papercrafting Club. This class focuses on "non-card" paper crafts.
Jan Malone, a long-time member of Card Making recently taught
participants how to create adorable Wine Glass Tea Lights.
Save the Date: The 2019 Spring Craft Fair sponsored by the OHCC
Papercrafting Club will be held on Sat., March 30 from 9 am to 1 pm
in the Abravanel Hall. If you live in the Village and are interested in
