Most ladies wore International costumes for the Chinese New Year party, "Year of the Pig," hosted by Joan and Roland Lau. Turnout at the South Clubhouse on Feb. 10 was huge, and all enjoyed the presentation of the traditional "Prosperity Salad." They were carried into the room by Roland and several IDS ladies, to be placed in the center of each table. Those present took their chopsticks and lifted the noodles and veggies high in the air. The higher, the more prosperity one receives through 2019. All dancers are practicing diligently to be performance ready for our "Festival of Dances," to be held May 17 and 18 in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom. Stage rehearsal begins March 26. Ticket sales begin in the Foyer the month of April. Be prepared to get your tickets early for a beautiful and informative show! The first is on Thurs., March 7. The second on Thurs., March 21. These dances are in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom from 7 to 9 pm. At these dances we do both line and couples dances. Line dance instructions are on Mondays, March 4, 11, 18, and 25. Instructions are in the South Clubhouse from 7 to 8:30 pm. The line dancers are now learning and enjoying intermediate difficulty dances. We will start over in September with very basic dances. However, if you are interested feel free to come and see what we do and how we do it at any of our events. We also do couples dance instruction. There are two instructions this month, Tues., March 12, and Tues., March 26. These are in the South Clubhouse from 7 to 8 pm. Have questions or need more information?
