March 22: "COMEDY NIGHT," $10. LAUGH, LAUGH, LAUGH. Three great comedians will be making us all laugh. Purchase tickets at the desk in the clubhouse lobby. This unique club offers a fun- filled program of experiences with a chance to enjoy them with your friends and make new friends. We have some exciting events coming up, so get ready to mark your calendars. March 8: Polo under the Lights; this was such a big hit last year that we decided to try it again. Enjoy a Friday evening with your YAH friends watching the "Sport of Kings" at the Empire Polo Club in Indio. Imagine sitting field side, overlooking a series of immaculate polo fields surrounded by majestic mountains in the distance watching horses and riders racing the fields at speeds up to 30 mph. Admission, tailgating and parking are free. Young at Heart will get there early to reserve spots at the tailgating section. Plan on arriving around 4:30 pm for a 5:30 pm racing time. Please bring a potluck item to share. Bring your own drinks and glasses. YAH will provide all utensils, paper products, champagne and glasses for champagne. Bring chairs and blankets for seating. The entrance for Friday night matches is on Ave. 50 between Monroe St. and Madison St. April 27: Wine Tasting back by popular demand, we are once again hosting a wine tasting event at the North Clubhouse. There will be wonderful wines, both reds and whites to please every palate. Delicious selected food pairings will accompany each wine. If you missed out last year, you will want to get your checks in early as seating is very limited. The cost per person is $25. Tasting will start at 4 pm. Don't forget our dues are still only $10 pp. Get your dues in as soon as possible so that you will continue to get the emails and will be able to participate in all our events. Make checks payable to YAH and drop off at 4713 Skyvieiw Circle. All of our events sell out quickly, so you do need to get your checks to the "contact person" as soon as possible. Social Singles Our next dinner meeting is Fri., March 15 at 6 pm in the South Clubhouse (note: this will be the third Friday of the month). "SHOREN BEGORRA" …. Come celebrate St. Patty's Day with us! Thomas Caterer's will be serving their famous traditional corned beef and cabbage, roasted red potatoes, peas and carrots, green salad, green Jell-O salad, soda bread and a yummy peach cobbler. Where could you get such a meal for only $17. And, they're back… that great group SO RARE we all love (and dance to). Guests living outside of Sun Lakes and are friends of a resident will be $20 per person. If you live in Sun Lakes you may come as a guest one time only, and then you WILL WANT to join the club. Make checks payable to Social Singles and drop your checks off at Maggie Kline's home, 650 Brooklawn Dr. (north side) or put your check and reservation in the basket on the back table. Those that want to sit together should put their checks in one envelope. Reservations and cancellations must be in the FRIDAY BEFORE the dinner.
