Important notice: The dates for the International Dancers of Sun Lakes show scheduled for May 2019 were incorrect in the March issue of Lifestyles magazine. The Festival of Dances and International Costume Parade will be presented on Sat., May 18, at 7 pm and on Sun., May 19, at 3 pm. Tickets are $10 pp and will be sold Monday through Friday in the lobby of the Main Clubhouse, April 22 through May 3, from 9 am until 2 pm. This show will feature dances and authentic costumes from around the world, as well as outstanding guest performances. Be sure to purchase your tickets early as this show will be sold out. The 80s Club has invited Joan Lau to perform with her Asian dancers for their April, 2019, meeting. A beautiful Filipino solo will also be performed by Perla Williams. The first is Thurs., April 4, and the second is Thurs., April 18. These dances are in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom from 7 to 9 pm. We do both line and couples dances. Couples instruction this month will feature basic waltz steps which can be used for either ballroom dancing or country western dances. The Waltz instructions are an open invitation for all couples and there is no charge. There will be three sessions for couples waltz instruction on Tues., April 9, April 16, and April 23, at the South Clubhouse from 7 to 8 pm. We are now learning what are termed intermediate difficulty line dances. We will start over with very basic line dances in August and September. Intermediate line dance instructions will be on Mon., April 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29, 7 to 8:30 pm at the South Clubhouse.
