Do you enjoy playing the billiard game of 8 Ball? If you do,
come join us. All Sun Lakes residents are welcome to practice
with us Mondays through Saturdays. We normally draw for
partners at noon, then play to around 2 pm.
There is no cost to join our group. However, if you elect to
join a team, there is a $15 competition fee per three-month
season. Eight teams compete every Thursday; four at 9 am and
the other four at 1 pm in our Main Clubhouse Billiards Room.
For a fun afternoon of friendly competition, come watch us play.

The Spring Tournament is in full swing, after a canceled Winter
Tournament. This tournament ends with play-offs Tuesday and
Wednesday, May 28 and 29. Mon., May 27 is Memorial Day. BTW,
there is a calendar on the backside of the cabinet, which lays out
the whole bocce schedule for 2019, in the event you might want to
plan ahead!
Our famous Pizza Party is coming on Sun., April 7. This party
is FREE to all members. However, in order to know how many
members are coming, we ask that you reserve your place at the
party by placing $3 pp in an envelope on which you have written
your name/names. ID stickers are printed up for those members.
You must have a sticker to attend this free party. If you haven't
already done so, sign up before the Thurs., April 4 deadline. Entries
go, as always, to 1288 Pleasant Valley. There is a box at the door.
The festivities begin at 3:30 pm in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom,
with a brief meeting at 4 pm. FYI, said monies are then contributed
to the Sun Lakes Charity Week held in June.
Looking ahead, the Summer Tournament begins the week of
June 10. Entries must be in by May 31. As in the past, the times
change in an attempt to avoid the worst of the heat — 4, 5, 6 and
7 pm.
