| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | APRIL 2019 | 51 Executive Men's Golf Saturday Morning Golf Are you still working and looking for a weekend golf option? Are you interested in sharpening your short game skills? Do you enjoy having a relaxed game of golf? If you answered yes to any of the above questions, you may wish to join our Saturday Morning Golf Group. We play on the Executive Course. Our membership includes men and women with a large range of handicaps. Our members share a love of the game. We have shotgun starts. Most of the year, October through June, the check in time is 8:30 am with a 9 am shotgun. In the summer, July through September, the check in time is 8 am with a 8:30 am shotgun. We hold monthly tournaments, an annual Club Championship competition, and quarterly dinners. Membership application forms are available in the North Pro Shop. Annual dues are only $15. Many couples have joined us this year to play casual golf with fun golf games Sunday mornings. If you want to join us, please call Mary Wilkie at (909) 280-1451 for information. We have a quarterly luncheon as part of the annual fee. Join us for exciting golf and fun filled Sunday mornings. Registration forms can be found in the Pro-Shop. Join us for a good time of golfing and friendship. Couples Golf The Executive is an 18 hole course with six challenging par fours and lots of water. We have a tournament on the third Friday of the month followed by a catered lunch. The tournament for Fri., April 19, is a Four- Man Scramble. Please be sure and sign up by noon Tues., April 16. Remember, lunches this year are in the North Clubhouse. Membership is open to all Sun Lakes male residents, and all levels of golfers are welcome. It is men's day with the opportunity to win closest to the pin (CP), from the white tees, when you pay into the kitty a dollar each for the two par 3 CP holes selected that day. Scheduled this month is the Sun Lakes Sweepstakes Tournament. Day one is a Four- Man Scramble on Wed., April 17 and day two is a 2,2,3 Best Balls on Sat., April 20. The February Quarterly Tournament (Individual Stroke) and the first leg of the Eclectic had to be postponed a couple of times because of the weather but was finally played on Feb. 27. We had a great turnout with several new Sun Lakes Men's Golf Club (SLMGC) members participating, as shown in the picture above. We continue to encourage members from last year to renew their memberships. Dues are $70 ($34 goes towards Men's Club dues and $36 pays for maintaining your S.C.G.A./Ghin handicap).
