At our February general meeting, the guest artist of the
day was Luz Perez, who did a demonstration in gouache
painting. The Mini-Art Show winners on that day
were: First place, Jo Taylor, Second place, Helen
Searcy, Third place, Frank Bonarigo. The "Best of
Show" was Carolyn Wilkes.
Our last general meeting was March 28. Sun Lakes resident, Joe
Oakes, was the guest artist and gave a demonstration in Acrylics
Painting. He will teach the April classes in the Main Clubhouse
Multipurpose Room on April 8, 15, and 22 from 9 am to noon. $30
for members and $35 for non-members. Our next general meeting
is Fri., April 26, 1 pm in the South Clubhouse.
Our 2019 Art Show will be in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom on
Sat., June 1 from 11 to 2 pm. Admission is free, and this will be the
only art show in 2019. Artists who wish to display will be allowed a
maximum of six pieces, and must be an Art League member. Entry
sheets with more information will soon be available in the lobby of
the Main Clubhouse.
You must also be a member in order to display your art in the Main
Clubhouse show cases. Please contact our Membership Chairman,
Helen Searcy at (951) 845-8198 if you'd like to join the Art League.
Annual dues are $20.
