The Makua Hula Hawaiian Dancers were invited to perform at the
Main Clubhouse Feb. 28, March 1, 2 and 3 for That's Entertainment's
Escape to Paradise Show. The audience was immediately welcomed
into the Mystic Queen Cruise Ship by our Ship's Captain and crew.
We sailed to Hawaii, Pago Pago, American Samoa, Fiji, Tahiti and New
Zealand with the performers entertaining them with a theater-in-the
round atmosphere. Makua Hula danced to White Sandy Beach with
poise and grace. Jan Stapel sang beautifully Blue Hawaii and Makua
Hula Dancers accompanied her.
A wonderful rendition of Hawaiian Wedding Song was danced
by Perla Pfleider, and sung so lovingly by Gaylord Spence. Many
compliments were given to all of the performers.
We thoroughly enjoyed being a part of such a talented, wonderful
singing, dancing and funny comedy groups culminating in an
awesome show. The directors Sue Dunn and Lee Stone did an
excellent job. We hope to be invited again.
