Sun Lakers at Canyon Lanes As I am writing this article the rain is coming down, the sky has been gray and the weather is depressing. It sure is nice to be bowling indoors and dry. Sorry for you golfers, but I am sure the sun will come out soon. The weather may be bad but the competition has been hot. We have three teams within a half a game of each other. As of week 23 we have team HO LEE CHIT in first place. They are Jerry Townsend, Pam Obry, Joan Allen, and Dave Obry. In second place is Killer Keglers with Mike Galongo, Loren Pitz, and Ed Collatz. In third place is The Holey Rollers with Warren Hollabaugh, Jo Hollabaugh, Mary Lou Peterson, and Lee Peterson. High scores for the season are: for the men, Andy Toro with a Scratch Series of 709; Rick Waters with a Scratch Game of 268; Fred Toro with a Handicap Series of 796 and Larry Stormes with a Handicap Game of 306. For the women: Gail Stormes with a Scratch Series of 574; Pat Dolphin with a Scratch Game of 230; Pam Obry with a Handicap Series of 733 and Beverly Bly with a Handicap Game of 285. High team scores for the season are: Just Lucky with a Scratch Series of 2113, Four Play with a Scratch Game of 752, 3 Feathers and a Tickle with Handicap Series of 2798 and Killer Keglers with Handicap Game of 976. Bowling is right up my alley. Sun Lakers III As of this writing we have the Goof Balls in first place. Based on the team name you'd think our entire league was on their team, but no, the real team members are Leroy Miller, Clarissa Toro, Carmen Gardner and Rick Waters. SEASON HIGH SCORES Scratch series 2121 Double Trouble, Scratch Game 759, Handicap Series 2773 Pick Up, Handicap Game 981 Coulda Shoulda Woulda. I have noticed that the best bowlers in our league most of the time don't have their games of 200+ announced, I, on the other hand, want the world to know I break 100 on all three games. Looking for bowlers of all ability levels to join the league, contact Greg Kent 949-678-5227 or Teri Comerford 760-227-9656.
