12 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | APRIL 2019 DID YOU KNOW about The Summit Usage Policy? Many people have been a bit confused as to what the policy is regarding residents owning various game playtimes at The Summit as well as how the club, group, or class parties work up there. Here's the "skinny" — There are no official regularly booked club, group or class times at The Summit except for the water classes and bocce ball (because the bocce ball courts are up there). Any clubs, groups or classes that meet up there are on a "first come, first served basis." We do, however, allow each club, group or class to book a party two times a year based upon availability, without charge. Private parties are allowed to be booked up there as well and are paid for by residents at a rate of $50 per four hours for the rental fee, $70 for the mandatory cleaning fee and $300 for the deposit. The deposit is then sent back to the resident host with a form letter, a week or two after the event (if the facility was returned in the same condition is was prior to the event). An insurance rider for the one- day event is also required and the details for that will be provided upon booking. As a courtesy, we have posted a list of the various booked parties to be held in the lounge/social room to make it a little easier for residents to know when the facility will not be available that week. This list, available at The Summit desk, is approximate and subject to change. There, wasn't that easy to understand? Now, you too, are an expert regarding The Summit Usage Policy. ~ Cindy Graves Did You Know? DID YOU KNOW that no matter what activity or event you participate in at Four Seasons Beaumont, more than likely Nelly Alcocer played a role in its evolution? As Operations Coordinator, Nelly describes her job as "having a hand in just about everything going on." From room scheduling to Board packets, from new homeowner orientations to helping residents access the community entry system, from organizing association meetings and developing PowerPoint presentations, mailers, and the Daily Report, the myriad of duties never gets overwhelming. "My job brings different challenges on a daily basis and that's what I like." Nelly has been an employee here for almost 11 years. She started as a part-time Lodge attendant, becoming a full-time employee one year later. She then held an administrative position before being offered her current title. When asked what the best part of her job is, without hesitation, Nelly says, "I love the people. Working with people and getting an email or thank you from a resident makes my day." Outside of work, Nelly loves traveling. She just returned from a trip to New Orleans and is already planning her next venture to Texas. When not exploring new areas, she enjoys spending time with her two dogs and a cat. And we are ever so grateful they are willing to share Nelly with us. ~ Kris Corbett DID YOU KNOW that after a few years of separation, the Editorial Board and the Communications Committee are back together again? Now known as the Communications Board, responsibilities include not only producing the monthly Breeze magazine but also maintaining the Four Seasons Beaumont website, www.fourseasonsbeaumont.org. As always, the entire Communications Board is dedicated to providing the best platform —make that, platforms— to keep our residents informed about the latest happenings around our community. What we are unable to provide in our monthly publication, we will strive to provide on the website — the most up-to-date information possible. Oftentimes, dates, times, and even events change after the Breeze has been sent to the printer, so corrections are impossible. With the website, there is no deadline so changes can be made as we are notified about them. We encourage you to use both communication tools and please let us know if there are any issues with either. Send comments and concerns to printnpixel55@gmail.com.
