Spring is upon us. With spring comes the desire to improve and
change our homes and landscape. We are receiving questions about
many things. Here are some of the most frequently asked:
• Garage Doors: Any change to a garage door requires ARC
approval. Changes that require approval include adding
windows, real or faux hardware (hinges, locks and decorative
scroll work) and changing the color. You can repaint without
approval as long as the color does not change.
• Snake Fencing Installing snake fencing requires ARC approval
and must comply with all requirements of Exhibit J in ARC
Guidelines.
• Awnings: Section G of ARC Guidelines advises non-retractable
shade devices that cannot be closed each night are subject to
the same requirements as permanent structures and require
ARC approval. Awnings and non-retractable shade devices
must be a neutral color that coordinates with the exterior color
of the home.
• Umbrellas: No umbrellas are allowed in front yards (exceptions
are made for Monarch side yards and Springdale patios). All
umbrellas must be closed each night. There are no restrictions
on umbrellas (number or color) that are not viewable from
common areas.
If you have questions please feel free to contact the ARC Committee.

FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | APRIL 2019 27
Greetings! We have received a great deal of positive feedback
about the Comedy Show. A big thank you to Sandy Buelna and Linda
Cunningham who co-chaired this event and Jeanette Pacheco for our
decorations. Your Social Committee has been very busy planning
the Fashion Show "Springtime at the Flower Market" which will
take place on June 1. Tickets will be $30 per person and tickets will
go on sale on April 8 at 9 am. This is a popular event that sells out
and tickets will go quickly. If you are not available that day, ask a
neighbor in our community to help you out and purchase a ticket for
you. Please see the posted flyers in The Lodge for further important
details. ~ Pamela Morales, pamelamorales26@gmail.com
