FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | APRIL 2019 45 We have been taking missionary journeys ~ four to be exact ~ with Paul the Apostle. After our six-week series on "Changes," which ended the middle of February, we began studying Paul's missionary journeys as chronicled in the Book of Acts. Paul, of course, was the one person in the Bible that made the most changes in his life, and we have been cognizant of his heart and mind changes, as well as all the rest of the changes we discussed during that series, preparatory to studying Paul. In March we began by learning about how difficult travel was in those early years A.D., and that Paul traveled 10,282 miles by land and sea during the years of his ministry. However, while on land, Paul walked ~ sometimes with companions, and a lot of the time as a solitary figure. We discussed Paul's four missionary journeys. He wrote Galatians during his first missionary journey into Cypress, Pamphilia, Galatia and Cilicia. He wrote 1 and 2 Thessalonians during his 18-month stay in Corinth in Greece (Achaia) while on his second journey. During his three-year stay in Ephesus in Asia Minor (modern day Turkey) while on his third journey, he wrote 1 and 2 Corinthians and Romans. His last journey was to Rome where he was imprisoned for 5-7 years. It was during this time that he wrote Ephesians, Colossians, Philemon, Philippians, 1 Timothy, Titus, and 2 Timothy, which constituted the remainder of the 13 books of the New Testament attributed to Paul. The last two weeks of March we discussed Galatians and will continue in the order Paul wrote his epistles until we have studied them all. As we study, we follow the admonition in Revelation 1:3, which is to read aloud and study each verse. We have had so many miraculous answers to prayers in this group – truly these women are prayer warriors. It is an honor to know and love each of them. Ladies out there: if you are interested in joining a group of truly amazing women who love the Lord and His Word, please come join us. We meet every Friday from 10:30 to 11:45 am in the The Lodge Game Room. This is a non-denominational study, there are no prerequisites, and all Bible translations are acceptable. Come and share with us! ~ Eileen Gilbert-Antoine; egcellent@ msn.com "Believe…" Women's Bible Study Intercessory Prayer group Greeting intercessors, friends and neighbors! Just a reminder that we meet every first Monday of the month in the Game Room at 9 am. Come and join us. Do you look at life this way? Everything is possible and nothing is impossible? Are you optimistic? I asked Google what are five things that make people happy? The answers were: 1. Exercise; 2. Be kind; 3. Surround yourself with people you love; 4. Be grateful; 5. Let yourself be happy. When we pray for others in need and the need is met, we are blessed. When we smile at someone we don't know and they smile back, it fills our heart with joy. When we love the unlovable, heaven smiles. A thankful heart is a grateful heart. Are you still able to get out of bed without assistance? That alone should bring joy. We look forward to seeing you on Monday in the Game Room at 9 am. See you there. Men are welcome. ~ Cookie Bonner; eaglewatchwb@aol.com
