6 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | APRIL 2019 It's April — my favorite month of the year! The weather is brighter and warmer and the birds and the flowers are starting their glorious emergence from the long, rainy cold season. To celebrate this wonderful season, the Spring Boutique will be held in The Lodge Ballroom on Saturday, April 6, from 9 am to 2 pm. Come and see the beautiful springy wares that our hometown crafters have created; every kind of spring and summer gift you could possibly want to purchase will be there. We will have over 60 resident crafting vendors. I know you will love it! Entrance is free and folks from other communities are also invited. Just to make things more fun, there will be giveaway prizes throughout the shopping day. All are welcome. The other fun shopping experience coming up for Four Seasons is the ever-popular HOA Community Garage Sale on Saturday, April 27, from 8 am to 2 pm. We always have terrific participation by our residents and we had over 90 homes on the Garage Sale map last October. We also have had several millionaires made through the purchase of rare antiques accidentally sold as white elephant items (or so I've been told). Who knows? You might be the lucky one this year. In any case, be sure to put this fun event on your calendar; only the first 1,800 homes will have access to the community… did you get that? Due to unforeseen circumstances last month, we had to postpone the Gail Games and boy, were we disappointed! Thankfully, our wonderful Gail Lindeboom will be back again on Friday, May 3 in The Lodge Ballroom at 6 pm. This time, Gail will host a hilarious game called Majority Rules. This is a group participation game and a blast to play. Feel free to bring your Bistro dinners and favorite home beverages with you. There is no cost to attend and there are prizes for the winners (hooray)! One last thing I forgot to mention — since K. Hovnanian has been so successful in selling new homes since January 2019 and because they have record profits for this first quarter alone, they have decided to give back to current residents through a treasure hunt campaign that they are promoting as Finders-Keepers-Losers-Weepers. Through the end of April, residents are encouraged to look on the trails, by water features and other community monuments for five small (3" x 5") green and brown boxes adorned with the builder's logo. Inside each box will be a certificate to take to the sales office entitling the finder to prepaid Visa cards in denominations of $500 to $3,000. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity, so do not forget to stay alert and vigilant regarding details in your outside surroundings. Walking is a good way to get some healthy exercise and nothing gets you walking faster than the prospect of finding free money! Have fun with this and be aware that the winners' names will be written by skywriters on Sunday, April 28 at 2 pm over the clock tower. April Fool's!
