| OHCC LIVING | APRIL 2019 | 11 Happy spring to all! April is always such a beautiful month. This past winter the library with its beautiful fireplace aglow was such a cozy place to read. Please come in anytime to curl up with a good book. Speaking of good books, one of our new April books is Becoming by Michelle Obama. This is a much requested book, and it is finally here. If you haven't signed up for it, hurry in to do so. We suspect the sign-up list will be long. Michelle Obama grew up on the south side of Chicago. She attended Yale University and became a high-powered lawyer. One day, a law student entered her office. His name was Barack Obama. Michelle takes her readers through the early years of her marriage, the raising of her daughters, and the rising political career of her husband. Her White House years were often difficult, but she handled the time with grace and kindness. She continues to inspire all of us, but especially young girls. The book is her story. She prefaces it by saying, "Your story is what you have, what you will always have. It is something to own." As a reminder, the open shelves are open to the entire community. You may come in and borrow a book anytime the Clubhouse is open. However, we do ask that you take only two books at a time and return them as soon as you have read them. This leaves our open shelves filled with treasures for everyone. Our dues are only $15 per household per year. This entitles you to our newest books like Becoming. "Browsing through the shelves in bookstores or libraries, I was completely happy." — Louis L'Amour. Library Association APRIL BOOK BUYS Almost Everything (NF) ..................
