| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | May 2019 | 11 Access Control Committee We continue to investigate two major issues that need the attention of both the residents and our Access Control Committee, the first is: How to slow down speeders within our community. We do have two viable solutions, (1) We have already put forward within the last couple of years, a demographic showing the volume of traffic not obeying the community's recommended speed limit of 25 MPH. (2) The second option is in progress, and details will be forthcoming by our mid-summer meeting. The second important matter is that of a more secure entry access point at the Front Gate. This issue of tailgating and gate strikes involving residents and guests has dogged us for quite some time now; however we do believe we may have a possible solution. Before bringing this data to the BOD much work internally with the Access Control Committee still needs to be summarized, and budgets need to be submitted and evaluated internally before submission. Our reasoning is that we are still concerned that there could be a safety issue associated with this access point. Much work however still needs to be evaluated, as we progress we will keep you all appraised of our progress. Any questions feel free to contact the Access Control Committee or attend our next meeting in May. Facilities Committee The vernal equinox, which this year fell on March 20, brings warm dry weather for us to enjoy. For the Facilities Committee, it has brought special attention to some projects to enable us to enjoy the season more fully. The most significant of these involves a replacement of many of the swimming pool and spa systems that you don't see but are crucial to its operation. At about 15 years old, the existing systems maintenance and repair expenses were getting excessive. After assessing the options, a decision was made to replace the existing systems with new systems that will filter better, cost less to operate and be easier to maintain. The new systems should be operational by the time you read this. Now that the rainy season is over, work may resume on the asphalt crack sealing and road repairs. Closing off entire streets is not anticipated for the remainder of the work. A sidewalk drainage problem and a reclaimed water issue will soon be dealt with as well, as will several non weather related issues. The Facilities Committee does its best to provide a remarkable facility to use and enjoy. We hope you can use the pleasant weather as an opportunity to enjoy it often.
