Summer is almost here! Very soon there will be an increase of younger guests at the pool during the noon to 5 pm "family" time. Pool monitoring will begin Fri., May 24 and continue through Labor Day. The Board has contracted the services of our guard company, Southwest Security, to monitor compliance and safety in the pool area. Their presence helps ensure an enjoyable time at the pool for residents. When you bring guests to the pool, remember that you have a responsibility to your fellow residents to ensure all of your guests (as well as you) adhere to the posted rules. Please take a minute to review the rules so you are familiar with them. The rules are printed on a big sign attached to the wall of the pool cabana building. A lot of committee time was spent and resident input evaluated in establishing the rules that your Board of Directors approved. Guests at the gate: The gate staff asked us to let all of you know that they have had difficulty with guests (vendors and housekeeping staff ) checking in at the gate. The main issues are: • Guests not knowing the exact address of their destination • The guest's name on their driver's license does not match the name entered by the resident in dwellingLIVE The attendants are instructed to not let the guest in if the name on their license does not match the name entered, or the guest cannot remember the address they are going to. This is frustrating for the guest and the guards, holds up the line for other guests trying to enter and results in frustration for the resident. Can this be avoided? YES. Here's how: Make sure your guest knows your address. If your guest has a nickname, enter the nickname in the "Notes for the Attendant" box. Or, you can enter the person's "given" name in the notes box which will most likely be on their driver's license. The key is, the name in the guest entry and their license must match. Have you read the Board's message? Our outgoing President, Russ Brown, welcomed the newly elected Board, and we echo his sentiments. Our management team's goal is to partner with the Board and ensure they receive accurate information from the committees as well as continuing education (including our semi-annual seminars and current HOA legislation) and expertise and support needed for decision making. This community has greatly benefited from Russ' experience, wisdom, and knowledge and we will miss that. But we should not forget that he and all of the other volunteers are "retired" and have a life outside of their commitments. Russ, thank you very much for all you've done to assist me and our staff to be better at what we do! As you (and Hal) have said, "We are a work in progress." Lastly, on this upcoming Memorial Day, as we pause to remember the sacrifices that our veterans have made, we would like to say "thank you for your service" to all of our resident veterans! We owe you a huge debt of gratitude for your service and for our country's freedom. May you and your family have a safe and peaceful Memorial Day! | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | May 2019 | 5 General Manager's Message By Rick Ruth
