| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | MAY 2019 | 27 Spring has sprung and the beauty of nature is all around us as everything starts to bloom including our allergies. I don't know about you, but I have a real difficult time trying to hit the notes on songs I sing when my allergies flare this time of year. If you have allergies that restrict you from singing your favorite songs, do what many of us do and bring your meds with you to our next Karaoke event. You will find yourself in good company with other allergy sufferers. You can join Rosie Ingalls, Barb Miller & D.J. Blast on Fri., May 24 in the North Clubhouse from 5:30 to 9 pm. We are also hosting a special Karaoke event in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom on Thurs., May 20 from 5:30 to 9:30 pm. Any proceeds raised at this event will be donated to Charity Week. Thank you always for your support. Karaoke Group Chorale The Chorale of Sun Lakes wrapped up its successful spring season last weekend, and will now take a much needed rest until the fall. Our summer hiatus lasts until Mon., Sept. 9, when we gather at 8 am in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room to renew our memberships. Our first rehearsal follows at 9:30 am in the Ballroom. It is our pleasure to provide quality entertainment for the Sun Lakes community, while fostering warm personal relationships within our Chorale. All Sun Lakers are welcome to join us. Stay tuned for more information. Musician's Jam Do you play an instrument - any instrument - and would enjoy playing with other musicians, we invite you to join us for some "jammin." No special talent required. We are a group who will get together just for the fun of music and will be playing together but also would invite solo players to entertain us. We meet the third Wednesday at the North Clubhouse from 6:30 to 8 pm. So bring your instrument, favorite music, music stand (if needed) and a grin. For information contact Joyce Close at (951) 267-3234. JOIN US! Do you like to sing? Sun Lakes has its own Barbershop Chorus that meets every Wednesday morning in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room from 9 to 11 am. The sheet music and audio learning materials are furnished to help even the novice enjoy the experience. You can sing in this men's chorus or enjoy a quartet experience with three other guys. We all have a song in our heart waiting to come out. So visit us and sing along! Enjoy a coffee and donut at the break. For more information and a personal invitation contact Jim Langford at 769-6065. Barbershop Chorus
