4 | OHCC LIVING | MAY 2019 | General Manager's Message By Wendy Panizza As you likely know, Ocean Hills Country Club is alive and well with so many enjoyable activities for its residents and their guests. We hope you had a most wonderful time at the Eggstravaganza in April. Plans are set for a grand celebration of the 35th Anniversary of our beautiful community, including a Chubby Checker concert followed by cake and champagne in the Galleria on May 4, and a full day of events on May 5 including food trucks, live music, and ending with more cake and champagne! Together with the oh-so-popular Pop Up food services on Monday afternoons, and the multitude of recreational activities and club events, residents of OHCC will never be without something to do! Also, we are all looking forward to a beautiful summer and wish you all safe passage in this busy time of vacation travel. A fun time was had at the grand opening of Inspiration Hill and Salute to Our Founders in March. Special thanks to Donna Russell, Sgt Sid Zimman, USMC (Ret), and the Chorale Society for a great program, and Recreation staff for coordinating this solemn yet celebratory event. Plus, it was my sincere pleasure to assist Founder Paul Steinberg in the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. Please note we are still taking orders for commemorative bricks, which will be installed along the pathway, so order your bricks today! Did you know? HOA office staff has processed over 2,600 new decals thus far, and notices have been sent to those folks who have not yet responded. As of mid-April, we have completed our mandated obligation for the Biennial Age Survey which verifies compliance with regulatory requirements for age- restricted communities. Fun Fact: The average age in OHCC is currently 76! Thanks to all residents who regularly and willingly participate in these records requests. We realize they may seem redundant, but it is critical to ensure Association records are always up to date, access is being provided only to those who are authorized, and that OHCC complies with all regulations required by law. The Master and Villages management agreements are in place, and we continue to look forward to providing continued excellent service to each corporation. We really appreciate your trust in Keystone and hope to always exceed your expectations for many years to come. I very personally appreciate the opportunity to work with a great staff and amazing volunteers here at OHCC. We've issued over 120 citations as of the end of March, with the majority being for failure to stop. So, please STOP at the stop signs! This month I would like to highlight a member of our staff who plays a very important role here at OHCC. Pam Williams is the staff liaison for the Architectural Review Committee (ARC) and started working at Ocean Hills in July 2017. As the ARC Liaison, Pam interacts with every resident wanting to make modifications to the exterior of their home and ensures that completed applications are submitted to ARC for consideration. At the end of the first quarter of the year, she and the committee have assisted residents with 87 different applications. The ARC meets the second and fourth Thursdays of every month and completed applications must be turned in the Monday prior to the meeting. Pam truly enjoys working with the Committee and helping each homeowner in getting their projects approved and completed. In addition to her ARC responsibilities, Pam oversees and tracks all Escrow Inspections. Pam grew up in Arizona and moved to Oceanside in 2002. She has three children, two daughters and a son, and three granddaughters she adores. Before serving Ocean Hills, Pam worked at Tri-City Medical Center and Camp Pendleton. Thank you, Pamela, for a job well done!
