| OHCC LIVING | MAY 2019 | 21 Garden Club All residents are welcome to attend our general meeting on the second Wednesday of each month in Abravanel Hall beginning at 9:30 am for refreshments and socializing. There will not be a general meeting this month because of the OHCC Gardens Tour and Luncheon. If you are interested in serving on the OH Garden Club Board of Directors, we have an opening for the Publicity position. I will be resigning in June and am looking for a replacement. You will be in charge of writing the article for this magazine. You do not need to be a Garden Club member at this time. Please contact me, Rita Fitzpatrick, at ritzfitz9@gmail.com if you are interested. OH Garden Club Tour on Wed. May 8, from 10 am to noon, followed by the Luncheon in Abravanel Hall. The Garden Tour is free and open to all OHCC residents. Be sure to pick up a map at the OHCC Clubhouse front desk showing the eight gardens on the tour. The map will be available a couple days before the event. It will include background on the featured OHCC home gardens and their addresses. One of the homes has limited access to their yard so will be unavailable to anyone using a wheelchair or walker and it will be so noted on the map. We suggest you plan to carpool, as parking is limited. For any questions, contact: Mary Kay Murray, (442) 221-7051. OH Garden Club Luncheon: Seating in Abravanel Hall begins at 12:30 pm. We will start the table assignments at 12:15. The deadline to sign up for the luncheon is May 1. However, the tour is open to everyone at no charge. Prime Cuts will cater the luncheon and they are well known in OHCC for their good food. Cost is $25 for Garden Club members, $28 for non-members. The Luncheon menu will include salad and rolls, salmon, chicken, steamed vegetables, scalloped potatoes, coffee, and dessert.
