80s plus club WOW! What a way to start 2013 with such great entertainers as Harold and Bettie Enns and their pal Burt. The show began with the very upbeat duet Sunny Side of the Street. When Harold and Bettie sing their romantic songs, it gives us memories of another time and place when we were young. Harold brought us back with Some Enchanted Evening, If They Made Me A King and This is All I Ask. Bettie gave us Embraceable You and The Wee Small Hours of the Morning. While Harold and Bettie caught their breath, Bert sang a song to sum up how we felt You Make Me Feel So Young. Bettie came back with a great version of Over the Rainbow. Harold and Bettie closed the show with what is now their signature song Anything You Can Do. January was also our big treat month with our great fish fry by Susie and Carol, as always a wonderful job, girls. We meet the second Saturday of the Month at the South Clubhouse at 3 pm. Caregivers and spouses are welcome. Info., Barb, 845-7904 or Carol, 769- 7382. chorale Have you visited the Main Clubhouse lately? If so, you may have heard chorale members flexing their vocal cords. After the outstanding December Holiday Concert (reportedly our finest), Chorale members hurried to put away their Christmas decorations in time to pick up their spring music packets. To their delight, Director Bob Jensen has selected 21 memorable songs from Broadway hits and Hollywood movies that will have you dancing in the aisles! To their added pleasure, young Banning resident, accompanist Lisa Yarbrough was once again seated at the piano. These two skillful musicians elevate the quality of our concerts. SPRING CONCERT DATES: Fri., May 3, 7 pm; Sat., May 4, at 7 pm; Sun. Matinee, May 5, at 3. 2013 Officers: President, Charlie Friese; Vice President, Mary Dattilo; Secretary, Pat Thompson; Treasurer, Billie Elowe; Librarians, Toni Read and Sandi Rushing.
