men���s golf MEMBER GUEST TOURNAMENT: Sat., May 18, 9 am shotgun start. The tournament will be limited to 58 teams, 116 players consisting of one member and one guest. There will be two flights, Handicap Flight where both players have a verifiable handicap and Callaway Flight where one player does not have a handicap. The entry fee is $135 per team. There is a preliminary sign up sheet in the Pro Shop for the member to indicate that he intends to enter. A formal application will be in the Pro Shop on March 18, that must be completed and turned into the Pro Shop with a check made out to The Sun Lakes Men���s Golf Club for $135. The first 58 names on the preliminary sign up sheet will be guaranteed entry but a completed application with check must also be received after March 18, and no later than April 20. The guest may be any person not a member of the Men���s Golf Club, any gender and may live in Sun Lakes. couples golf One of the best deals in town is Couples Golf! Dues are just $65 per couple, ($32.50 for single players) and for that you and your partner get a free catered lunch each quarter served at our quarterly club meeting. Wow! We tee off on the Championship course each Sunday at 9 am and play a different type of fun tournament each week. Our tournaments are designed for all skill levels, and they are truly more for fun than pressure. The tournament entry fee is only $5 each week you choose to play, and that fee pays for that week���s prize money. Membership forms are in the Main Pro Shop. travelers coed golf The Travelers 48 Men will again be playing the exclusive Pauma Valley Country Club (John Wayne���s course) on Tues., March 5. The total cost for a round of golf, golf cart and range balls is $75 and payable at the course by cash or check, no credit cards. It���s about a 1-1/2 hour drive and we will begin play at 9:30 am. Get your car pool groups together. The sign up sheet will be in the pro shop soon! We are already getting questions about the timing of our Coed Blue Water Resort Trip (with Emerald Canyon Golf). It is currently scheduled for May 13, 14 and 15. This is typically our BEST TRIP VALUE OF THE YEAR and virtually everyone who has made this trip over the past couple of years, want to do it again! Tournaments for everyone, plus closest to the pin for both men and women. Trophies will be presented at year-end to both men and women for club champions with the best gross score. Quarterly meetings will be in the Sandwedge. This is a fun group of men, women, couples and singles. The emphasis of this club is golf, but also fun - no stress! We meet at 8:30 am every Tuesday at the North Clubhouse for a 9 am tee time. We have varied tournaments with other golf clubs, mixed play, plus social and charity events throughout the year. On the third Tuesday of every month club members meet at the South Clubhouse for a short meeting and afterwards a catered lunch is served for just $10. Guests are always welcome. Friday morning golf with us is challenging and fun. The Executive Course has 18 challenging holes requiring shots over ravines and water. This par 60 course is comprised of six par 3s and three par 4s each nine. We play every Friday with monthly tournaments on the third Friday of the month followed by a luncheon. Our next tournament on March 15, is an Irish 4-ball format followed by lunch in the North Clubhouse. Tournament winners have $ credited to their accounts at the Pro Shop which can be used to purchase items from the shop. In coming months we will have combined tournaments with Highland Springs Village and the Sun Lakes Ladies Golf (LEGS) Club. In August we will be holding our Club Championship. All Sun Lakes male golfers are encouraged to come out on Friday mornings at 8:30 am to the North Clubhouse for a 9 am tee time. Every week you can enter to win $ for closest to the pin. New member forms are available in the North Pro Shop and any interested new member is invited to join. We are open to any male resident who is interested in golf fun and camaraderie.
