The new date will be June 21, with tickets on sale May 7 to June 19. Tickets are $15 per person and include the game show and snacks. Coffee, water and punch will be provided and as always you are invited to bring your favorite drink. When you buy your ticket you will be placed at a table of eight and that will become your team. You are also welcome to buy a table of eight if you choose. Please watch the Breeze for more information and reminders of these upcoming events. ~ Melody Seewoster The January cold spell damaged our irrigation system throughout Four Seasons. Several of our back-flow devices that prevent water from flowing back up the water line when the sprinklers shut down were frozen and parts broken. We had numerous sprinkler heads damaged and pipes broken. Most of the repairs have now been made. We are taking preventive measures to reduce vulnerable parts from future temperature damage. While we have experienced temperatures in the 20s before, the length of this cold snap (three days) caused most of the damage. We are looking at a wireless remote sensing system for reducing water consumption in turf. A four to five month demonstration will be conducted in the turf at the end of Green Creek Trail by implanting three sensors below the surface to measure the moisture and send signals to the controller. The controller will then activate the scheduled watering according to these moisture readings. The builder is also working to reduce water run-off on the traffic island at Four Seasons Circle and Mesa Verde Park by installing a drip line at the top of the turf and a water collection trough at the bottom. In addition to saving water, this will reduce maintenance problems with the pavers in the circle.
