10 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | JUNE 2019 | PROPOSED RULE CHANGE NOTIFICATION # 19-01 The Board reviewed the following proposed amendment, to the Sun Lakes Country Club Homeowners Association General Statement of Rules and Regulations (revised March 1, 2019 edition), that appears on the Association's website (sunlakescc.com) and are available in the administration office (please reference ARTICLE IV – General Rules, Section 4.02 Community - Rule #30, at its April 24, 2019 Open Session meeting. The Board will vote upon the proposed amendment at its July 24, 2019 Open Session Meeting, following publication in the June 2019 edition of Lifestyles. If the Board votes in favor of the proposed rule change it would go into effect August 1, 2019. PURPOSE: The purpose of the proposed rule change is to clarify when an Estate Sale may be conducted for the purpose of liquidating the belongings of a family or estate. EFFECT: The effect of the rule change, if adopted, will allow clarification for the association, its membership, and those contracted by its membership for enforcement. Estate sales, for the purpose of liquidating the belongings of a family or estate, are permissible under the following guidelines: a) The administration office must be given 48 hours' notice. b) A list of potential non-residents must be provided to the guard gate 24-hours in advance. c) Non-residents who are not on the guest list are not allowed on property. d) No sale items are allowed outside the property. e) The garage door must be kept closed during the sale. f ) The estate sale may begin no earlier than 8:00 a.m. and conclude no later than 6:00 p.m. g) No advertising is allowed on Sun Lakes common area. h) All applicable rules and regulations including parking must be followed. i) Estate sales may be conducted on Fridays and Saturdays only, excluding New Year's Day, Presidents Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. PROPOSED RULE CHANGE NOTIFICATION # 19-02 The Board reviewed the following proposed amendment, to the Sun Lakes Country Club Homeowners Association General Statement of Rules and Regulations (revised March 1, 2019 edition), that appears on the Association's website (sunlakescc.com) and are available in the administration office (please reference ARTICLE VIII – Golf Course Rules and Regulations for Both the Championship and Executive Courses and Facilities, Rule #4, at its April 24, 2019 Open Session meeting. The Board will vote upon the proposed amendment at its July 24, 2019 Open Session Meeting, following publication in the June 2019 edition of Lifestyles. If the Board votes in favor of the proposed rule change it would go into effect August 1, 2019. PURPOSE: The purpose of the proposed rule change is to keep golfers from driving their carts and hitting their golf balls inside stake markers on the golf course. EFFECT: The effect of the rule change, if adopted, will eliminate potential risks to golfers entering construction areas on the golf course. Also, in some instances, it will protect newly installed landscaping from being damaged. Golf carts must stay on the cart path around tees and greens, practice areas, and on all par 3-golf holes unless the 90-degree rule is posted. In addition, golf carts must stay in the fairways outside the golf course stakes and adhere to all signage and daily course directives. Rule Change Concerning General Statement of Rules & Regulations Rule Change Concerning Golf Course Rules GM Message continued from page 4 • The Board tabled the replacement of the Fuel Pump reader at the Maintenance Yard. • The board discussed the Speed and Stop Sign rule enforcement and will bring it to a future Open Session meeting. • The Board met with the Road Engineer and discussed the Pavement Management Plan and discussed adding some speed humps in the community. • The Board discussed and approved the replacement of the Bocce Court boarders with redwood. • The Board is holding off on removing the white roses on holes #8 & #18 until we get through spring to see how they look. • The Board discussed the Club/Group Reservation Policy. It has sent it to the Recreation Department and Recreation Committee to review and come up with an alternative. • The Board approved the closing of the ICS & CDARS accounts and combining with Mutual of Omaha Wealth Management Accounts. • The Board interviewed two applicants for the Recreation Director position. • The Board reviewed three bids for the replacement of the SCH roof and the SCH HVAC units. This item is a Reserve item and will be on tonight's agenda for approval. • The Board reviewed three bids for the replacement of the laminate flooring in the SCH Multipurpose Room. This item is a Reserve item and will be on tonight's agenda for approval. • The Board tabled proposals for the replacement of the Admin carpet and paint. • The Board reviewed the 2018 Annual Audit with Lund & Guttry.
