marketing Advisory One of the goals of the Marketing Advisory Committee this year is to update information contained on the website 55+places.com regarding Sun Lakes Country Club. The website is popular with people nearing retirement as they plan for the next chapter in their lives, as it is a good source of information about communities that offer the kind of active lifestyle they are seeking. And, it's effective. There are residents here at Sun Lakes that would not have known about our great community if not for 55+places.com. A sub-committee of the Marketing Advisory Committee has been diligently working to create a new narrative and photos for the website to better present and illustrate what Sun Lakes Country Club has to offer. In addition, the possibility of incorporating a video presentation within the Sun Lakes listing is being pursued. So, check out 55+places.com – and watch for a "new and improved" Sun Lakes Country Club link on the website soon. And while you're on the website, take a minute to submit a review describing all that you enjoy about living here at Sun Lakes, and why others will, as well. Speaking of "new and improved" – Have you tuned in to Channel 97 lately?. Wow! No longer the best antidote for insomnia, there are REAL VOICES now describing the activities, clubs and groups here at Sun Lakes. So, check it out! Spectrum Channel 97 – exclusively by Sun Lakers FOR Sun Lakers. More exciting enhancements are planned, so stay tuned! Spotlight on… Each month, the Marketing Advisory Committee highlights one or more of the Clubs and/or Groups that are active here at Sun Lakes through a "Spotlight On" feature. To have your Club or Group featured, contact Larry James, Marketing Advisory Committee Chair, at (951) 236-9253, or email mlinxter@yahoo.com. This month, we turn the spotlight on… Sun Lakes 8-Ball Group – Have you ever played pool? Did you have fun? Have you visited the Billiards Room here at Sun Lakes? If not – you should. The Billiards Room is nice! And, there's a group here at Sun Lakes you should check out, as well – the Sun Lakes 8-Ball Group. This is a group of men – and women – who get together every day, Monday through Saturday around noon, for some pick-up games of 8-ball (or, solids and stripes to us laymen). This group of fun-loving Sun Lakers is made up of people who just like playing pool, no matter their skill level. But, if you like competition, there is also an opportunity to get a partner and join a team and play a little more seriously on Thursdays, for a nominal competition fee. So, stop by the Billiards Room in the Main Clubhouse around noon, any day but Sunday, and check out the Sun Lakes 8-Ball Group! You might just pick up, or rediscover, a new hobby. If you'd like more information, call Barry Sorensen, (951) 402-4020. So, c'mon – let's play some pool! | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | JUNE 2019 | 23 Bingo Advisory This month Bingo will be held on June 11, 18 and the 25.
