10 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JUNE 2019 arol, do we have anything planned for the upcoming weekend? It has been a while since we have done anything. I'm bored. Bob, you clearly forgot we are visiting our friends, Ted and Alice, this weekend in Beaumont. I spoke with Alice this morning to confirm. She and Ted are glad we are coming to visit. It has been a while since we saw them. Remember how excited they were to purchase their home last year? They are still thrilled. Every time I speak with Alice she tells me she is so glad they moved into the Four Seasons community in Beaumont. She said they have so many activities that they are always busy. MEANWHILE… in Beaumont at Ted and Alice's home: Ted, I just confirmed that Bob and Carol will be here this weekend. They won't arrive until late Friday. Where is the paperwork we received when we had our homeowner orientation? I've forgotten most of the things they told us. I know I need to call the Gatehouse or go online to put their names on our guest list. Here are the papers, Alice. There are two codes. One is our Personal Entry Code that we are not to give out. It's for our use only, and remember, we enter # then the four digits to get in the gate. The Resident Directory Code is for guests. Be sure to tell Carol and Bob that all they need to do is type the four digits into the Directory Box and it will automatically dial our telephone number. When we answer the phone, and they let us know they are at the gate, we press 9 to let them in. THE WEEKEND BEGINS: Well, here we are. Alice said she left our names at the Gatehouse. I told her we may be late. What time is it? She said the attendants are at the Gatehouse until 8:45 pm. Oh, it's only 8:15. We just give our names and who we are visiting. And, unless Carol has requested a temporary permit, we are to park in the driveway because overnight street parking is not allowed. You're here! Come in, we have dinner waiting. While we are eating, we can discuss our weekend plans. Our favorite movie is playing at The Lodge tomorrow morning. We can see it if you wish. Bob and Ted, if you two want to do something active this weekend, we have hiking trails, tennis, pickleball, swimming at The Lodge pool and all sorts of other things. We can decide what we want to do and when. Here is a copy of our community magazine, the Breeze. It lists all the activities and the hours when groups are scheduled to use specific areas. We can also check our community website, fourseasonsbeaumont.org, for updates or changes. SATURDAY MORNING: Coffee on the patio, how delightful. You did a great job planting your yard. I know you were somewhat concerned about rules and restrictions in a gated community. How do you feel now? We have not had any issues. When we moved in, we attended a Homeowner Orientation and received a lot of good information. Then we made a list of all the things we needed to do. We consulted the community plant guide to decide which plants we wanted for the backyard. We had four months to develop and submit our plans with before pictures and Exhibit A to the Architectural Review Committee FOUR SEASONS BEAUMONT 101 By Irene Welker C
