10 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | JUNE 2019 | May was a busy month at Four Seasons with lively music, food and beverage tasting, and a luncheon with Hollywood memories. On the first of the month an amazing Ladies Luncheon was held with the glamour of the golden age of Hollywood modeled in costume and song by Hollywood Revisited Productions for all 200 who attended. There were amazing costumes with sequins and mink, Roman togas, and even a costume our former California governor, Arnold Schwarzenegger, wore. The audience was treated to a program of beauty, laughs, and history lessons from the golden era of Hollywood. Thanks to the many volunteers, and the committee chairs Stella Torres and Lucile Gould. The Ballroom was decorated with bigger then life glittery Oscar statues, red, black and white table decorations, and of course a large Hollywood sign. Handsome men in tuxes escorted ladies to their seats. Of course a ladies luncheon would not be complete without lovely hats worn by some attendees. It was an afternoon to remember. In the middle of May, Music on the Plaza, was a rockin'. The audience was jiving and grooving to the sound of BB & the Blues Shacks. The plaza was transformed into the Four Seasons Blues Festival for the night. Don't miss the upcoming music events on the plaza, listed in this month's Herald magazine and on Sat. June 8, the tribute band Stone Soul will be playing the music of classic soul and Motown. Don't miss out — buy your tickets soon. On May 19 the annual Taste of Elegance was a huge success, local charities, United States Vets, Inc and the Center Against Sexual Abuse (CASA) received generous donations from the sale of tickets and kind donations from many sponsors. Attendees enjoyed a variety of food tasting from local bakeries, pizza, chicken wings and wines and beer from local wineries and brewers. Don't miss the communities Fourth of July celebrations with games, hot dog and hamburger dinner, and dancing to the Phycohbillies band. Tickets go on sale June 4 at 7 am. We also look forward to Movies Under the Stars coming in August. Social Committee Get ready to have a blast July 4 on the Lodge patio. Doors open at 5 pm and dinner is served from 5:30 to 7 pm.
