Meet the Candidates for Board of Directors was held on April 4. A large and robust audience showed up for the verbal exchange with eight candidates. The night gave way to each candidate displaying their platform. Audience participation was anticipated, thusly, questions were asked of each candidate by the elections committee and the audience. On April 24 the annual membership meeting was held in the Ballroom. One by one the candidates for office were announced: Robert Beech, Jim Crase, Zenaida DeJesus, Sharon Deuber, Jim Hatcher, Fred Kydd, Cliff Post, Carolyn Sripathy, and Patty Seabock (write-in). Incumbents Jim Crase and Jim Hatcher were re-elected, and Cliff Post was also elected to the Board. Existing Board members welcomed Cliff to the Board. There were 1,707 votes cast, while some votes were not counted because of technicalities. We must thank those who ran for the Board, as it was unusual to have so many candidates. All of your participation is greatly appreciated. Periodically, government regulations dictate a change of practices in regard to Board procedure. This time the new practice addressed election of Board officers, which we did immediately after the conclusion of the general election, in the open forum. The results are: Jim Hatcher, President Jim Crase, Vice President Tony Criscenti, Secretary Ken Pounders, Treasurer Russ Brown was awarded a plaque for his honorable and productive years as president of the Board. Although we caught him off guard he managed to accept the award cheerfully. As we embark on a new Board year addressing issues impacting Four Seasons at Hemet, we pledge to remain transparent, productive and efficient. That being said, we have some anticipated and some unanticipated challenges ahead. We look forward to your patience, wisdom and support as we spring forward. Four Seasons is and should remain a safe haven and a place we can be proud to call our home.
