Pam and I were married 30 years ago on a cruise ship in
Oahu on May 4, 1987. We renewed our vows on our 30th
wedding anniversary at Christ Unity Church in El Cajon,
CA. My oldest daughter was married there, my Godchild
was christened there and her parents were married there.
Pam also attended this church when she lived down there.
The minister Rev. Hammons, who officiated the
marriage and christening, came out of retirement to
officiate our renewal; it was special day and all went
well. We had a renewal reception following the ceremony,
at Claim Jumpers in La Mesa, which was where we had
our original wedding reception back in June 1989 (it was
Bobbi Magee's back then), so that was kind of nostalgic.
