| OHCC LIVING | JUNE 2019 | 31 The OHCC Billiards Club held their April tournament with members playing Cut-Throat. Cut-Throat is a pool game for three players, but it's also a game that seems to mess with your mind! The object of most pool games is to sink your balls, but in Cut-Throat the object is to sink your opponents' balls before they sink yours. Simple variation, but it makes for many laughs when gray-haired people play. There were nine 'A' skill players and 11 'B' skill players. The semi and final matches required a player to win two games to move on. There was one game where Fred Ganoe made the opening break shot. Then his opponents Tom English and Rick Pesco proceeded to sink all of Fred's balls before he got his second shot. This put Fred out of the game, but as often happens, there was a later foul, which put one of Fred's balls back on the table and he returned to the competition. In the 'A' skill bracket, Keith Bogost, John Carlson and Charlie Payne won their qualifying matches to make the main event where Charlie won the two games. In the 'B' skill bracket, Jim Piercy, Rick Pesco and Dan Wilkerson survived the preliminary matches and advanced to the final match where Dan won in two games.
