Recently your gac has voted to make some areas within these drought tolerant spots a (1 stroke) penalty. This will be identified with a red stake with a green top. White stakes with a green top are free relief. This was done based on the usga rules of golf. Yes, you may retrieve your ball. The proper way to put your ball back on grass is no nearer the hole. Where? Think of a glass plane along the edge separating the grass and plantings and where your ball broke that glass is where you would drop it… not where the ball may have ended up. If you are confused please stop by the golf shop. We have begun the channel project on championship holes #14-16. This will address our poor drainage there. Drought tolerant plantings will also be going in, similar to #9. The project is slated to be done around oct 1st pending weather. During construction please look at daily course conditions for updates and for any hole closures. Tree trimming is ongoing. Please remember your id cards when paying for golf and for merchandise in the golf shops. GOLF RULE OF THE MONTH: #9 Sun Lakes range balls are prohibited from being used on the golf course and/or removed from the driving range. Remember you cannot leave with a bucket or balls! BALL MARK REMINDER: With warmer temps we are watering more. Greens are softer and we are seeing more ball marks that are NOT being fixed.
