Local artist Suni Godbold is teaching watercolor
painting in the Main Clubhouse Arts and Crafts Room
on July 8, 15 and 22 from 9 am until noon. The cost
for the series is $30 for members and $35 for non-
members. It's not too late to sign up for these July

Our next general meeting will be on
Fri., July 26, at 2 pm in the South Clubhouse.
After a brief business meeting and our Mini Art
Show, our guest artist of the day, David Farrington, will
do a demonstration in oil painting. He will then teach the
August oil painting classes in the Main Clubhouse Arts and
Crafts Room on Aug. 5, 12, and 19 from 9 am until noon.
The cost will be the same as in July.
Well-known artist Sharon Rachal, was the guest artist at
our May meeting, and did a demonstration in watercolor
painting. President Rosa Gascoigne presented her with
a Certificate of Appreciation for teaching here at Sun
Lakes. She taught the June watercolor classes. We are very
fortunate to have such excellent artists as Sharon, Suni, and
David giving art classes here each month.
The winners of the May Mini Art Show were "Best of
Show," Roz Miller; First place, Betty Jo Ford; Second place,
Sharon Salcido; Third place, Mike Barrett.
The annual Art Show will be on Sat., Oct. 5 in the Main
Clubhouse Ballroom. Sharon Salcido is the chairman. More
information will be coming soon. Our very talented Sun
Lakes artists are busy preparing for this big show. Please
mark your calendars and plan to attend.
