Pink Ukuladies and Gents
The Pink Ukuladies and Gents were the highlight of the Inland Empire
Ukulele Festival in May of this year. A detailed article was written in the Press
Enterprise with action pictures of the group in their pink-striped blouses and
pink western hats. Joyce Close was described in the Enterprise as "pretty in
pink and not too humble...." as the group serenaded "It's Hard To Be Humble."
The 17th Annual Festival was another success and enjoyed by all attending.
The Pink Ukuladies and Gents is dark in July. Meetings will continue in
August on Mondays in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom from 1:30 to 3 pm. No
fees or music background are required. For more information, contact Lily
Fedotowsky, Director, at (941) 662-0633. You can also visit the website at
www.pinkukuladies.com or email pinkukuladies@outlook.com.
If you think you might have an interest in learning about the activities of the Country Western Dance
Club, we will have a FREE introductory dance in August. No charge and no obligation. This introductory
dance gives you an opportunity to learn about our club and its activities. At this dance we will teach two
or three very basic line dances. Come learn some dances or just come and watch if you prefer.
Our introductory dance will be Thurs., Aug. 15 at 7 pm in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom. You can
look for our flyer in the Main Clubhouse for more information.
In September we start the new season with very basic beginner line dance instruction. Line dance
instruction is on Monday evenings from 7 to 8:30 pm in the South Clubhouse. The first instruction is
always the first Monday, after Labor Day, which is Sept. 9. This instruction is free; so come and give it
a try. Check the club's August and September Lifestyles article for more information.
