48 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JULY 2019 Due to the great success of our June Hummingbird Watercolor class, we will be doing another class in July for those of you who were unable to make the June class. The watercolor technique uses watered-down concepts paint and of course sheer talent to create a watercolor effect. The subject of the Watercolor July class will be an iris on a trivet. A sign-up sheet should come out the first week of July. The date for the July Iris watercolor class has not yet been determined. Ceramics class has something for the novice crafter looking for a new hobby, or someone that has experience and wants to create their own unique design, or create pieces for friends and family, in addition to individual projects. We also offer class projects throughout the year to teach new techniques. Come and join in the fun. Drop by the Craft Room to see our monthly ceramics class schedule and learn more about our upcoming class projects. We meet Wednesdays from 12 to 4 pm. Please see the class schedule for any exceptions. A certified instructor and/or an experienced class team lead is available to support your crafting needs. Participation is at your own pace and frequency. For information, you may contact Loretta Ramsey at (714) 803- 6744, or Brenda Ystrom at (909) 910-1100. ~ Brenda Ystrom Ceramics Corner We meet on the second and fourth Fridays at 1 pm in the Arts & Crafts Room. We get together and make three cards, and the cost is $8 to cover materials. You only need to bring your own glue and scissors. If you haven't tried our classes, please think about joining us for a fun-filled afternoon. It is important to RSVP so we will be sure to have enough kits for everyone! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. ~ Maryalice Chorba, chorbaparadise@yahoo. com Crafty Cardmakers Knit & Crochet Group In April our group went out to lunch at the Noodle Bar in the new Soboba Casino. It was very good and we all enjoyed the food and the company. It was a fun get together. If you are still looking for a new hobby or want to renew an old one, please come join us. We welcome beginners and those with experience. We have plenty of supplies to get you started. Tuesday mornings from 10 to 11:30 am in the Arts & Crafts Room. ~ Dorothy Payne, dpayne001@dc.rr.com Craft Group The Craft Group has started our fall crafts a little early this year as we may take a hiatus, for a few weeks in September, due to vacations. A recent project will provide a nice fall centerpiece or coffee table decor. We made baskets of "acorns," pictured, from plastic Easter eggs and pieces of pine cones. The Craft Group meets on Thursday mornings, 10 am to 12 pm, in the Arts & Crafts Room. You are welcome to stop by any Thursday to see what we are working on and what's planned for the future. If you would like to participate in a class, please call Barbara Paules at (951) 845-3608 for a list of supplies you may need to bring or for any costs involved for materials. ~ Barbara Paules Quilting Enthusiasts We had a great block exchange last month featuring red, white, and blue fabric. The discussion following focused on many creative ways we will use the blocks. Next month we are making pillowcases to donate to Pass Patchers quilt guild who will donate them to Ronald McDonald House. We also discussed additional projects for following months. We are a great group. Please join us on the first Sunday of the month at 1 pm in the Arts & Crafts Room. The room is also available each Sunday at 1 pm for sit and sew.
