6 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JULY 2019 Thank you for the huge outpouring of love and support over the last couple of months, especially during the last Town Hall meeting. I cannot tell you how grateful I am to work in such a caring community. You guys really are like family to me, and I really felt uplifted during this challenging time. Thank you for filling up my "hug-bank" as well. You are the reason that this community is the best in the west. Now for the July summer fun and activities: Fourth of July is the first, biggest and most highly-attended event this month. Be sure to read Danya's article telling you more about the festivities. It is going to be a blast, and we look forward to seeing you at one of our several facilities on that day. I cannot wait to see who signs up to participate in our first Chili-Cook Off because I'm a big chili fan. Another note for the inquiring mind… we always get asked a couple of days before the potluck event, "Can I still come and bring a dish to the Fourth of July potluck if I didn't sign up?" The answer is a resounding "Yes!" We love to have as many people from the neighborhood as possible come. We all know that there is something so nostalgic and exciting about getting all bundled up (or not) for an outdoor evening movie. Driving up in your lawn chair and breaking out specially packed snacks and beverages adds to the fun. In this community we don't see a lot of the traditional "making- out" during the movies, but we are an "Active Adult Community" so you never know what kind of activities folks might engage in. July's "Movie Night at the Summit" feature is American Graffiti. I have not seen that movie in ages, but it's always entertaining. There will even be a surprise give-away right before the show starts at 7:45 pm, so you don't want to miss that. You're welcome to place your lawn chairs onto the Summit green any time after 6 pm. I'll be looking forward to seeing you there! The next thing we have going on is the ever-popular "National Night Out." This is a great way to show solidarity with our Beaumont Police and other first-responders. It's nice to not only thank those public servants for their hard work throughout the year, but it's also nice to get a Beaumont update and be able to ask questions. The date for National Night Out is Thursday, July 25. It will be in The Lodge Ballroom. Check further in this issue for all of the pertinent details. Let's stand together against crime and in thankfulness for the safe community we live in. Have a fabulous July, and I'll see you around The Lodge!
