This class has limited space and is filling fast. Harmony and balance is important in all my pieces. My imagination and curiosity lead my creativity. Success to me is having one of my pieces catch the eye of an art patron, and he or she is captured by the painting. My search for inspiration come from many different areas: travels in Europe and the US, various art galleries, nature, people, music, antique stores, hardware stores and thrift shops. I enjoy working with all mediums: oils, acrylics, pastels, watercolor, and alcohol inks. I've found that each offers something unique. Oils for portraits, give a lustrous quality. Pastels used for creating portraits are interesting on patterned or ink backgrounds. Watercolor is my favorite medium for painting animals. Alcohol inks are versatile and can be used on tiles, metal, and yupo paper. The materials that I use include brushes, palette knives, foil, organic sponges, tissue paper, different mediums, tiles, and found objects from antique stores and various types of shops. My eclectic jewelry, made mostly from found objects, can be found in the gallery cabinet during the exhibition in July and August. A Jewelry Trunk Show held at my house, 669 Weir, on Sat., Oct. 26, (10 am to 2 pm) welcomes all people at Four Seasons! The gallery wall and cabinet will be shared by Vicki Hitt and Lucia K Wolfer during the months of July and August. Lucia will be featured in the Herald in August.
