It is already July, and the weather here is finally reflecting the season. The Fourth of July is upon us and vacation planning is underway for a lot of our residents. Escape to cooler climates for the summer is a high priority for some. The 4th of July, Independence Day, has been celebrated since 1776 with fireworks, parades, concerts and family gatherings. Hemet Four Seasons' Social Committee will host a July 4th celebration on the plaza. We hope our residents will come out and enjoy the camaraderie, food and fun. Speed is still a problem in our community. It is speculated that some folks drive the speed limit (plus) on Florida, until they reach the Four Seasons turn off. Upon entering our property, they continue at the same pace. If this is your practice: please SLOW DOWN. As you may recall almost two years ago, we (Access Control Committee) commissioned a Traffic Survey. We found that most residents observed the 25 mph speed limit (or maybe 5 mph over). Although we had good compliance from residents, that was not always the case with visitors and/or service providers. Please remind your visitors and contractors to obey our traffic regulations, for our safety and theirs. Emergency preparedness is being chaired by Paul O'Neill, who stepped up to the leadership plate a few months ago. Under Paul's leadership we have had a few residents join the organization as street captains. We still do not have the coverage that is needed for all 1,106 homes. In order to attract more volunteers Paul came up with a new category of volunteer, "Auxiliary." Auxiliary members are not required to attend regular Emergency Preparedness Team meetings; but are on call in case of an emergency. If your block doesn't have a street captain, think about joining the Emergency Preparedness Team as an auxiliary member. As we close this message, let's remember that this is our home. One of the nicest communities in California. Again, Four Seasons Hemet is ours collectively, and we take pretty good care of it. The care and maintenance of our properties is for all of us to protect and care for. Message from the Board of Directors 2 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | JULY 2019 | Sincerely, and on behalf of your Board of Directors, Ken Pounders, Tony Criscenti, Gene Hikel, Jim Crase, Greg Rockvam, and Cliff Post, Jim Hatcher President
