| OHCC LIVING | JULY 2019 | 15 Art Room News Hurry! Hurry! Come take a look at the Watercolorist group's paintings before they disappear and the next exhibit is installed on July 13. We thank the delightful artists of the Watercolorists for allowing us to show their beautiful paintings: Shellie Bean, Cindi DeWeese, Lorraine Kleeman, Sarah Kolb, Bonnie Krichbaum, Jan Malone, Barbara Miller, Mary Ann Nepinsky, and Bonnie Roth. We also appreciate Frank Boynton's help with the installation. The incoming exhibit will feature the Papercrafting group led by Rhonda Anchales. Their "hands-on" crafting produces clever and amazing pieces. Come and enjoy… perhaps consider joining the group in the art of Papercrafting and discover your own hidden talents! Be sure to read a little about each artist in the info pocket on the slat board. If you would like to show your artistry in a future exhibit, please contact Judy Harris or Lainy Vinikow. Enjoy! Stained Glass The two-month beginner's class is coming along nicely. Everyone is learning a lot and having fun. Our new beginner's class that started in March was fully booked. Another beginner's class will start on Thurs., July 11. Art Lovers The Art Lovers Club will not be meeting in July but we have many exciting events planned for the rest of the year. Last month we were delighted to have OHCC's own Bonnie Lee Roth (above) bring many of her whimsical creations and demonstrate how she sculpts faces that she applies to her brightly colored backgrounds. In August, we will have a car trip to Oceanside Museum of Art, which is featuring Brian Kesinger who spent 20 years with Walt Disney Animation Studios before focusing exclusively on his own art. Also featured is Dress Rehearsal which showcases numerous and unexpected ways a dress can be depicted and interpreted, using out- of-the-ordinary mediums expressed through sculpture, installation, painting, photography, and collage. In September, a Fallbrook artist will be our guest and in October, we will visit the exceptional Glass Show at the Fallbrook Art Center. Be sure to save the date, Dec. 3, for our festive Holiday Luncheon.
