On Aug. 18, 1969, the seminal music event known as the "Woodstock Music and Arts Festival" took place. Now, 50 years later, we will be having a tribute to that day as we present "Four Seasonsstock" on Sunday, Aug. 18. One of the great bands who appeared at Woodstock was The Who. We will be recreating that performance with an appearance by one of the best tribute bands around, The Who Experience. The Who Experience is a powerful, realistic tribute to The Who with an incredible resemblance to The Who, both musically and visually. The Who Experience's professional, energetic, fun, and audience-engaging performance is a must- see for classic rock fans who will leave wanting more. These Southern California band veterans perform nationally. This will be a special event at the Amphitheater. You will want to come early to get your picture taken in front of a psychedelic backdrop, get a "tattoo," play lawn games, enjoy art displays, see pictures of your fellow residents from back in the day, picnic on the lawn, and have a great time. There will be a costume contest for best "Woodstock look." For our 60s/70s picture display, please send your pictures via email to danya.lynd@fsrresidential.com, cindy.graves@fsrresidential. com, or drop off at front desk. Remember that you can set up chairs any time after 10 am on the morning of the concert. You cannot place blankets in the Amphitheater to save seats. If you bring something to drink while enjoying the concert, please have your glass in a cover that will protect it from breaking. Come out to the Amphitheater early, get your "Woodstock groove" going, pretend your hair is long again, put on those beads and fringe, listen to great music, and have a great time with all your friends and neighbors. Peace! ~ Mark Lassen, lassenqa@aol.com Amphitheater FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | AUGUST 2019 31 At our July meeting we had a good turnout with the guest speakers from the Beaumont Police Department and Jeff Davis from the San Gorgonio Pass Water Agency. Sergeant Chris Ramos spoke about what has been going on in Beaumont. Jeff Davis spoke about our water use, rates, and where our water is purchased. Those were great topics that resulted in a lot of questions from residents. Thank you to our guest speakers. Our National Night out Celebration was July 25. The desserts and refreshments were provided beginning at 5:30 pm and the program began at 6 pm. Beaumont City Councilperson Julie Martinez, Beaumont Police Chief Sean Thuilliez, Beaumont officers and members of their Community Volunteer Program, Fire Department representatives, Banning Mayor Art Welch, Banning Police Lieutenant Alvarez, CHP Truck Scales Lieutenant Nulty, CHP Public Information Officer Darren Meyers, Cal Fire, and Riverside County Sheriff Captain Timothy Salas from the Cabazon Station, and their police canine were present and spoke briefly (with the exception of the police canine). This event was attended by many residents who showed our community support for all our first responders and elected officials. Thank you to all the agencies and their representatives for taking the time to celebrate with our Four Seasons residents, and for enhancing our neighborhood's safety throughout the year. Thank you also to the Neighborhood Watch Steering Committee for planning National Night Out, and the representatives of FirstService Management for all their assistance in setting up the event. Remember, if you leave your vehicle in your driveway overnight, please be sure your windows are closed and doors are locked. Remove the garage door opener and any valuables from the car and bring them in to your residence so that if your car is entered, the person responsible will not have access to your garage. Please call Beaumont Police to report the incident, and let your Block Captain know that the incident occurred. Remember, if you see something, say something — call the police and do not confront any individual directly. Thank you to all our Block Captains and our Neighborhood Watch members who work to keep our community safe. Contact Jerry at (951) 212-8898 with any questions. ~ Jerry Monahan Neighborhood Watch
