FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | AUGUST 2019 5 Dollars and Cents: The Board of Directors approved the following proposals at the July 11, open session meeting: • Facilities Committee proposal for replacement of the Aerobics flooring in the Spa Building at a cost of $11,481.82. The reserve budget to replace this flooring is $15,000. Kudos to the Committee for saving the association $3,518.18. • Facilities Committee proposal for a replacement ADA pool lift for the Summit indoor pool at a cost of $7,700. This replacement was chosen because of its durability and ease of use. The reserve budget for this item is $2,933. • Facilities Committee proposal for ADA Pool Lift preventative maintenance and monthly inspections at a cost of $1,100 annually. • Landscape Committee proposals for mulch in Phase B on the following streets: Kings Canyon, Big Bend, Bridle Trail, and Green Creek Trail. This includes the following streets Bartram Trail, Chimney Rock, Pipe Springs, for a total cost of $5,722. • Power outage ad hoc: The Board approved the charter and committee membership list for an ad hoc committee to look into major power outage processes and safety measures for residents and the facilities. Please keep your eye on the Daily Report for meeting dates and times. This committee reports directly to the Board of Directors. • Bistro ad hoc: The Board approved a charter and committee membership list for an ad hoc committee to evaluate the proposals provided by 17 interested vendors for the operation of the Bistro. Please keep your eye on the Daily Report for meeting times and dates. The proposal submission deadline is July 19. At that time the committee will begin the process of evaluating the proposals. This committee reports directly to the Board of Directors. LOCK YOUR VEHICLES: We have had several cars vandalized in June and July. In every case that I am aware of the vehicles were unlocked. Please lock your vehicle at all times, even if it is only for a few minutes! It only takes a moment for someone to open your door and take something or rummage through your belongings. Also do not leave valuables in sight. HOMELESS: Beaumont and Banning, as well as California in general, have more and more homeless persons. To ensure our security, I have recently walked the trails on multiple occasions, and found no evidence of trespassing. There is a vendor from the builder who maintains the trails in the conservancy area and no evidence of trespassing has been found. We will continue to work with the Beaumont Police to monitor the community for trespassers, whether they are homeless people, or solicitors. EMAIL: Don't forget to use the new email issues@ fourseasonsbeaumont.org regarding issues and questions. GENERAL MANAGER'S REPORT By Eric Zarr
