Question: Why is being a member of the Four Seasons Motorcycle Club (MC) so much fun? Answer: The camaraderie! Riding each week as a member of the club is always so enjoyable because there is a real chemistry among our members. We all look forward to our Thursday rides because we simply love to ride, but it's the camaraderie among our members that makes it special. In addition to our weekly rides, we plan on some multi-day rides. In May, several of us headed out to Tucson for five days of riding and exploring. In September we will be heading out on our much awaited Sierra ride. The success of our multi-day rides depends on hours and hours of pre-planning that includes scheduling each day's route, knowing exactly where we will be stopping for gas, knowing where we will be stopping for breaks and meals, and of course knowing where we will be stopping for lodging. With all of the logistics handled well in advance, each rider can relax and just focus on enjoying the ride. We have Howard Lyon to thank for handling the logistics of our Tucson ride and Bob Howard for handling the planning of the upcoming Sierra ride. Nine riders are signed up for the upcoming Sierra ride. Making the trip will be Bob Howard, Terry Humble, Scott Snyder, Bill Steele, Tim Mixon, Jim Ayala, Joe Bert, plus two guests. Bob has placed the finishing touches on each day's itinerary, which has now been shared with each rider. In all, this will be about a 1,800 mile ride, much of which will be mountain riding. It's going to be great! And finally, Scott Snyder was recently appointed as the Motorcycle Club's safety officer. In his new role, Scott will be called upon to present a safety topic at each month's club meeting. Additionally, it will be Scott's responsibility to observe the riding habits of each rider to ensure that everyone is riding sensibly and safely. While we all look forward to each week's ride and having fun, we need to be constantly aware that riding safely is paramount. Scott is the perfect guy for the job.
