My collection of intuitive artworks are essentially a visual memoir,
reflections of my inner mindscapes. The pen and ink process in this
series is best described as "upside-down and from the inside-out," as
they are begun intuitively, upside-down and with my non-dominant
hand resulting in the bypassing of my editing critic. Ultimately, they
are completed right-side-up with mixed media techniques. "One String
Missing" is part of my 'Intuitive Art Series' and is pictured on this page.
The 'Shaman Dreams Series,' on the other hand, is a product of world
travels and living abroad. These works reflect a life-long interest in
multicultural approaches to alternative healing and the mind-body-spirit
connection, particularly as they relate to the natural world. An image of
NoAidi, of the SAMI tribe near the Arctic Circle and part of my ancestry, is also shown in this article.
Lucia's eclectic jewelry, made mostly from found objects, is featured in the gallery cabinet along with
that of Vicki Hitt during the exhibition in July and August. A Jewelry Trunk Show will held at Vicki's
house, 669 Weir, on Sat., Oct. 26, (10 am to 2 pm). All people at Four Seasons are welcome!
